Hoschton is a small city located in Jackson County, Georgia. The city has a rich history that dates back to the early 19th century. The area that is now Hoschton was first settled in the early 1800s by German immigrants. The town was initially known as Hoosier’s Crossing, after a local businessman named Hoosier, but was later renamed Hoschton in honor of the Hosch family, who were prominent members of the community.
Throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, Hoschton was primarily an agricultural community, with cotton and corn being the main crops.
